ARBORETUM LOGO CONVEYS BOTANICAL HISTORY
Few visitors are aware that the landscape of the world's first free, public arboretum is organized in evolutionary order. The trees at the front gate (magnolia, metasequoia) sprouted up a mere 90 million years ago, while the far gate at Bussey Road features the majestic ginkgo - nearly 200 million years old. This Arnold Arboretum campaign celebrates a historic leaf with a very stinky fruit.

In this second run of Buff neck gaiters I used the beauty of the Arnold Arboretum's topography to make a map that works both as an abstract design (when you're wearing it) and as a usable map (when you take it off).
